  • Next time you go to study in the library or take a test in a room with windows providing a natural view, sit by the window, it educationally helps you focus and perform better on tests.
  • Relieve stress during finals week or a jammed pack week by taking a walk in our very own Arboretum.
  • The University of Michigan should plant more trees near classrooms, residential halls and libraries to ensure the "best" success in their students.
  • Planting a fruit tree garden on campus would provide student, staff, and the community with additional incentives to become more involved with campus trees. People would benefit economically because they would have access to free organic produce. Workshops and posted information about proper fruit picking and tree maintenance, would allow for an educational experience. A fruit tree garden would also promote opportunities for the community to socialize and allow them to become connected on the common goal of keeping the garden healthy.
  • At the Matthaei Botanical gardens and Nicholas Arboretum, you can attend classes, workshops and volunteer to educationally interact with the trees around campus.  (Check out http://www.lsa.umich.edu/mbg/learn/ to learn more.)
